We love a Bar or Bat Mitzvah here at Madame Tussauds (check out our video https://vimeo.com/63928453) and we often work with a very creative company called the Events Factory. This week we asked Darren and Craig from the Events Factory what they reckon makes the perfect recipe for a Bar or Bat Mitzvah….

‘As an events company we’re constantly asked what is the perfect recipe, it’s no easy question to answer but if you follow our advice you’ll certainly be on the way to having that perfect bar/batmitzvah, we’ve organised over 500 events in our time’

Before you think about lighting, sound and music you need to find the perfect venue. Somewhere that can accommodate all your guests, looks great in photos and wows people, such as Madame Tussauds London. Those guests of yours need to be fed so choose a caterer and food that will keep everyone full to the brim.

Then comes your entertainment, from DJ’s to live musicians everyone has a preference but why not combine the two and have ‘DJ Live’ if you want something new and modern.  DJ live combines the elements of live music with the tracks mixed up by a DJ and is sure to get everyone dancing.

Next you need to add in some lighting. The lighting is what will first wow guests as they walk into the room but will also enhance the party during the disco. A funky and modern backdrop and dance floor is also something that again not only wows your guests but also looks great in all your photos.

Finally you need to keep those all important friends and family entertained throughout the evening with entertainment. Magicians and photo booths are still very popular but there is so much more. We are the exclusive provider of Xylobands, which are LED wristbands, all guests get given a wristband and these interact with the music throughout the whole evening. Everyone gets to be a part of the show.

The ability to personalise is very popular too whether it be phone cases, caps, T-Shirts or flip books. Add all of this together and you have the perfect recipe for that perfect bar/batmitzvah’
