On the 9th May, Merlin Events London hosted a taster event of this package for event professionals and press. On a typically British summers evening at London’s County Hall, guests joined us for an afternoon tea and Pimms reception, before being whisked off to experience some of the capitals top attractions. As guests arrived at the venue they had their choice of visiting two of Merlin’s Southbank attractions. Some enjoyed some scary fun at the London Dungeon whilst others ventured far far away channelling their inner child at Shrek’s Adventure! Guests also experienced the mesmerising displays in SEA LIFE London Aquarium and the unrivalled views of the Capital from the Coca Cola London Eye.
As the clouds drew in and the rain came down with a vengeance, guests stayed warm and dry within the attractions before making the short dash back to the Riverside Rooms for a quintessentially British party! A yummy summer BBQ menu was on offer from top London Caterers, Food by Dish, from their very own BBQ shack which included; gourmet burgers, peri peri prawn skewers with lime salsa and sweet potato skins served with watermelon and mozzarella salad. The Riverside Rooms were decked out as a typical garden party complete with astro turf grass, garden furniture and fairy lights. Garden games were also on offer, hosted by English gentlemen who kept everyone entertained with games such as; croquet, quoits and draughts.
As if that wasn’t enough, the amazing Dan, courtesy of SNAP entertainment, wowed everyone with his magic tricks! How does he do it?! Those wanting something a little different had their tarot cards read by Cards be with you. To wrap up the evening guests enjoyed summer fruit skewers and an indulgent marshmallow and chocolate fondue.
