We love the Mayor’s new campaign #LondonIsOpen. Have you seen it? It’s a very simple idea but so effective. Last year we began to feel the after effects of Her Majesty’s 90th birthday celebrations as London welcomed a huge amount of visitors from across the globe (a mere 36.1 million), and this year we look forward to welcoming more too. It’s not difficult to see why as we have so much to offer in this fantastic city of ours; and since the investment around the London 2012 Olympics it looks so good it’s like a film set.
It never ceases to amaze me the sheer level of new ideas and creativity abounding all the time. Just in our own stable we’re launching a number of exciting products and activities to enhance the Merlin experience for consumers and event organisers. It’s so important to stay fresh and keep everyone excited. For example, today – 1st March we fling open the doors to our new Eye Lounge at the Coca-Cola London Eye (look out for #EyeLounge on social media soon!). Sponsored by Pommery Champagne, the new bar exudes sophistication and glamour and can be enjoyed by both day time guests, brides and grooms and event clients alike. Sound exciting? Our After Dark sessions are a prime example of extending an offer to a wider market, and now the trend is all over London. However, we’re upping our game by adding new exciting features to our VIP late sessions and in April we’ll be launching something really special at another London attraction. In fact we have new things happening throughout the year, some big, some small. But all new!
That’s what makes London extraordinary, and why London is never the same for very long. It’s always changing, growing and evolving into something fresh and exciting for us all to enjoy, year after year.
