At Merlin Events, experts in corporate events in London, we love an excuse to celebrate and Star Wars Day is no exception. In honour of May the Fourth, we thought it would be fitting to take you with us on an ‘event space exploration’ inside Madame Tussauds London’s immersive Star Wars experience.
Everyone loves a unique event – especially when the venue and theme fit hand-in-hand so perfectly! This amazing space is an unbeatable location for hosting a celebration with a sci-fi twist, here are just a few of the highlights:
A long time (ago)…
It took 12 months to create the experience and bring to life each of the iconic sets, which feature special effects and dynamic theming. A team of 180 expert Madame Tussauds artists worked tirelessly to recreate a host of famous characters, including Jabba the Hutt who weighs an impressive 35 stone and was carefully crafted using an enormous 1.5 tonnes of clay.
The trophy for ‘Longest Time to Create’ goes to everyone’s furry favourite, Chewbacca. It took a team of ten experts nearly 1000 painstaking hours to individually insert every single hair on the two metre tall Wookie. The force must have been particularly strong with them to pull this one off!
Making an impact on entry
You’ll be transported to a galaxy far, far away as soon as you enter the experience and come face to face with one of the most iconic battles of the franchise. Get your lightsabre at the ready as Qui-Gon Jinn and Obe-Wan Kenobi take on Darth Maul for an epic match between the dark and the light. If you’re thinking of this for corporate events in London, we’d recommend letting your boss take the lead for this one…
Not just a pretty face
We couldn’t pick the highlights of our Star Wars experience and NOT include the Jedi Master himself, Yoda! You’ll find this sage green guru waiting deep in the swamps of Dagobah and his setting includes special effects to rival the original Hollywood blockbuster themselves.
There’s so much more on offer at the one-of-a-kind experience (it wasn’t easy to pick just these few favourites!) so if you fancy yourself a bit of a Jedi or want to brush up on your sabre skills, there’s no better place for it. This unique space can even be hired for corporate events in London including all sizes of dinners, corporate parties or drinks receptions – letting you host a celebration that is literally out-of-this-world.
